Giveaway: Bored Inc.

KidsHaus is excited to announce a great giveaway from Bored Inc.! This little company is a mother & daughter team that has created a wide range of whimsical decals, tees, onesies, bags, coin purses...the list goes on (how do they do it?)! Courtney has graciously pulled together a nice package to one lucky winner including: 1 tee or onesie, 1 set of Decorama decals, 1 belt or coin purse and the winner gets to pick their choice of each item. I'm particularly in love with the vinyl mushroom fannypack for Ms. Bean...
Thank you to Bored Inc.! Enjoy playing...

NotNeutral Wall Decals - Seasons

The NotNeutral Reusable Wall Decals: Seasons is a cheery way to brighten up a room (I'm definitely drawn to anything cheery these days). Because the decals are reusable, you can change the leaves and flowers depending on the season. A fun way for kids to dabble in a little creativity of their own.

Kapitza Animal Stickers

Nicole from Kapitza sent me an email about their newest addition: Animal Stickers. They're not your average sticker -- they've got a fluffy, velvety flocked surface! and I love the suggestions of applying them to furniture or personalizing objects like cell phones, greeting cards, etc.

Chalkboard Animals

Kids can get really creative with these fantastic chalkboard animal shapes. The Chalk-o-dile includes conversation bubbles and then there's the very cute Chalkboard Animal Safari. Fun!

The Bird Has Landed

I ordered a few wall decals from Vinyl Wall Art after writing a recent post about their adorable designs. I couldn't be happier with the outcome after applying one of the birds above a piece of artwork in Ms. Bean's room. She loved it so much that she crafted the bird a train engineer's hat out of construction paper. I'm still working on finding a home for a couple of birds and an owl...

Wall Decals (again!)

What is it with my wall decal fascination, you ask? I have no idea! It came out of nowhere. All I can say is that I stumbled upon these wall decals (aka Stickers) from Kapitza out of the UK and was instantly drawn to them. They're a little more sophisticated but they would look lovely in a little girls room or any other room, for that matter.

Wall Decals

I changed my tune since I've recently discovered a few companies creating some lovely wall decals. Apple Pie Design out of Belgium is producing a line of sophisticated, simple wall decals that integrate nicely with the decor. Pink giraffe, anyone?

Vinyl Wall Art

In a recent post about wall decals, I said that I wasn't typically a huge fan of them; however, I think I found a line of wall decals that I'm ecstatic about. Seriously, I may even have to get a couple for the Bean & Mini's room. Vinyl Wall Art is doing a great job at making cute decals that would add a touch of character and humor to any room. In a few of their staged shots, if you look carefully, you'll see a decal subtly positioned in the upper corner of a wall in a kitchen or living room. Well done!

Wall Decals

I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of wall decals but, if someone is doing it well, then I'm certainly interested. A friend passed this French site, e-glue, onto me and I was genuinely impressed with a few of their designs, particularly the Hut for Birds. They're creating some nice designs that create a thematic presence as opposed to the typical graphical approach to most wall decals on the market. The thing that perked my interest was that they offer to customize any drawing that you come up with into a wall decal too. So, since The Bean is feverishly churning out drawing after drawing these days, this would be a fantastic way to feature one of her pictures on the play room wall (that I'm eventually going to reorganize -- where does the time go?). I'm going to source out a local company to do this instead of ordering from France though.

Update: I attempted to source a place that can take any drawing and turn it into a wall decal. So far, the only option I've found is to have the image printed on a large sheet of clear, sticky film. Unfortunately, the image cannot be "transferred" to the wall; however, your drawing can be trimmed to the outline. So, if you have a solid picture, as opposed to a line drawing, this may be a good option. I like working with United Reprographics in Seattle. They are fantastic!. Maybe someone out there knows of a "transfer" option...
