Art: Amanda Kindregan

I've featured Amanda's work in a previous post after seeing her paintings at a local boutique toy store in our neighborhood. She's got some new pieces that I thought were pretty adorable -- particularly "Rat's Nest", which reminded me of every morning around here. There's me with the hairbrush and Ms. Bean with the rat's nest in her hair...yup, every morning...

Plonka's home

Plonka's home from Dalinda couldn't be any cuter. Handmade with great detail, it's fully lined and interfaced for durability. It would make a perfect purse or pouch for gathered items like rocks, bottle caps, coins and whatever else is found at the park (Ms. Bean's favorite hobby).

Art: Yellow Monday

I apologize for being a bit behind my posts this week, I've been juggling a few too many balls. Hopefully I can push my reset button over the weekend and be back in full force on Monday. Although it's Friday, I thought I'd feature Yellow Monday's art. I just find the quirky sweetness of her pieces to be so interesting. You'll also have to check out her blog. Have a lovely Friday...and a great weekend.

Jen Skelley Prints

More great Gocco Prints -- these designed by Jen Skelley. She has a couple styles on her Etsy shop but I thought her alphabet animals were fantastic.

Etsy: Lab Partners

I'm a little behind today because Ms. Bean had a small bout of the stomach flu -- and you know how that impacts the delicate balance of a household.

Anyhow, I've stumbled upon a new obsession -- Gocco printing. I've merely begun researching and trying to understand the technique but it sounds so easy and so rewarding once you've printed your own designs. In my search for gocco printing, I discovered Lab Partners on Etsy who create some marvelous prints that would be ideal in a kids room. I have a feeling you won't be hearing the last of Gocco printing from me.

YaYa Designs

YaYa Designs "Funky" dresses are named appropriately, I think. When I first saw them, they instantly grabbed my attention and the one word that kept coming to mind was "funky". They're very creative and very cute.

Turtle Papers

I must be a late bloomer because, for the first time in my life, Turtle Papers got me thinking about ordering personalized stationery.

Etsy Find: Little Overcoat

I'm absolutely crazy about Seattle's own Little Overcoat creations! Made from a mixture of recycled and new  European materials, they do a tremendous job of mixing and matching the perfect colors and fabrics to make a vibrant fashion statement.

"Inspired by the tale of an old man who had a little overcoat, and when it became too old he made it into a jacket. And when the jacket became too old, he made it into a vest. And when the vest became too old, he made it into a tie. And when the tie became too old, he made it into a button."

Etsy Find: Le Bouton

I'm in the midst of getting ready for a little vacation and changing jobs, so I've been a bit behind on posting beautiful things; however, a friend forwarded Le Bouton's Etsy site to me. I couldn't imagine any little girl who wouldn't want to wear one these lovely, flowy blouses everyday -- they look so comfortable and easy.

Etsy find: Baby Leila

Ms. Bean is in need of some new duds this Fall and I figured I would rather spend my money on things that are unique and handmade than go to the huge retailers. I love argyle prints and found this Sweet Little Dress from Baby Leila with a bird stitched to the front pocket. While I'm in the purchasing-mood, I think the Mod Headband is coming home with me too.

Etsy Find: Willarie

I could easily spend hours perusing Etsy if I had the time -- I know I'm not alone. I stumbled upon Willarie's shop this afternoon and was immediately smitten. If either of these outfits were available in my size, I swear I would wear them! They're all simply gorgeous.

Crochet!

I love to peruse Etsy every so often but have yet to buy anything; however, I've got plenty of items saved in my Favorites area. I'm always amazed at the creativity out there! I discovered these little crocheted hats by pdxbeanies about a month ago and have been thinking about them ever since. They also make adorable Mary Janes, also adorned with that sweet flower! And a LOT of different colors to choose from. Guess what I'm going to buy for my youngest daughter, CV, today...finally?
