rI'm starting to think about Clara's 2nd birthday party in August and thought she would love to have a fancy, felt crown for her special day. Here is a group of adorable handmade crowns that I've come across...(clockwise from the top left)

The Gnome Shop

I'm completely enthralled with these felted wool eggs from The Gnome Shop. The most creative alternative to plastic Easter eggs, you can stuff them with sweet treasures and will be fun to use all year round. Heather is a stay-at-home mom of two children and has been crafting these eggs for her kids for the last few years. She also makes darling forest fairies, mushroom houses and furniture. Really...have you seen anything cuter?

Wool Felt Kits

I'm always trying to come up with new activities and crafts to keep Ms. Bean engaged. That, on top of her love for tiny animals, would make the tiny chicks or squirrel woolen felt kits an ideal way to fill an afternoon.

Nature Child Mobile

I'm absolutely in love love love with this Bees Mobile by Nature Child. In fact, if you have a moment to peruse the mobiles that she has sold in the past, you will be astounded at the charming beauty that each one exudes...obviously a lot of love is put into each one. In fact, I was blown away by everything she has hand crafted.

Wool Comes Alive

There's something about this squirrel's big eyes staring back at me! These unique, little wooly creations by Wool Comes Alive are handmade with care and they're all beautiful. Squirrel or bunny would fit nicely into a little pocket too.

Etsy Find: JoliBebe

First, the adorable felted-wool pixie booties from JoliBebe caught my eye and then the little red ascot made me giggle (you can't help it with that precious little face).

Felted Wool Backpacks

I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by amazing artisans in Seattle! One such artisan is Jamie Irene. I've had the pleasure to see many of Jamie's creations over the past few years and this girl's got talent. She's finally selling her fantastic creations on her own website. These felted wool backpacks are irresistible which makes it even more difficult to decide which one to choose -- penguin, owl, frog or bunny? You know, I can just imagine what a comforting little pal this would be for Ms. Bean on her first day of school.
